Re: Public Service Announcement Project
We have recently decided to design public service announcements to be aired during prime time programs that may have sexual situations or adult themes to help give our teen viewers information regarding some of the situations they may see during these programs. We are aware that STDs are becoming more common and can lead to serious health problems if they are not treated. Recent statistics have shown that by the age of 21, almost one in five Americans require treatment for an STD. We hope to make these PSAs informative and pertinent to our teen viewers.
Your first job is to determine which programs we should feature our public service announcements. Make a list of top ten shows for your age demographic (14-21 years old). These shows could possibly deal with adult themes and sexual situations. Once you have compiled a list of ten, you will choose three from the list you have assembled. Please provide rationale of why you chose these programs and how it relates to the spread of STD's/STI's.
You may use these resources to get your list of television shows:

3. What appears to be the most effective method to avoid getting an STD?
4. How can you tell the information you found online was valid and up-to-date?
